The clubs behaviour so far this window seems unusually quiet and very apprehensive. Are Steptoe and Son secretly selling off the club or at least one of them selling their share before funds are committed? Definitely feels like something is going down.

Ineacho (spelling?) is the only player mentioned that I think is a quality signing for the longer term and one we could get. We might have to swallow the buy back clause and it might effectively be a loan then but if we do better as a team we will attract better players. Its a sellers market and the quicker Sullivan realises it the better.
Giroud is a quality player but we need pace and he would only be decent for a short term option (expensive one) if we get a player like the lad at City.
I reckon we will end up with a Paulista type signing, some unknown South American that Sulli punts on.

Silly to expect what the owners say when what they do is different. If we can get in a forward who can, score a dozen goals for us next season, at least keep a defence occupied and be fit enough to be a regular I believe it will make a big difference to us.
A lot will depend on how fit we can keep our best eleven.
